Anybody ever go to Belgium and shop for beer? A friend of mine is currently in Europe and will go to Belgium. He's going to Cantillon to get me bottles. The selection there isn't as good as I had hoped (Iris, Kreik, Gambrinus and Gueze). Any idea of where else I should check out such as bottle shops. Would it be worth checking out 3Font?

What were you hoping for, Blabaer and Loerik:wink:?
That is pretty much what is normally at Cantillon, St Lamvinus, Fou Fonne, LPs, and Vigneronne depend on the Season. Dranken Geers near Ghent is a great shop as is Hopduvel. Many of the touristy shops in Bruges will have some of the seasonal stuff sometimes, but for inflated prices.

3Font, depends on what you are looking for, but its going to be og, kriek and intense red most likely.

I was hoping for some LP and Saint Lam. I figured Fou Foune wouldn't be there. Didn't know Lam and the LPs were seasonal. Thanks for the help though.

I went to De Bierschuur on someone's recommendation and found several items not at Cantillon during my visit, including some LP which was only available for on site consumption at Cantillon. At reasonable prices also, but it's a bit far from the Brussels Center. I had a car, so it was definitely worth it.

Bier Temple in the middle of the tourist area has a nice selection, but as has been said, at inflated prices. However, some stuff was still below the asking price I've found in the US, so it might still be worth a shot.

Lou Pepe Framboise should be out there rather soon.
    Mamouche perhaps as well.
No other 'special' releases in the future.

Your best chance of getting some are Geers in Oostakker or the Bierschuur in Groot-Bijgaarden.

Geers only had Iris and the regulars as of 2 weeks ago.
