Alright I have been using Beersmith for sometime but usually let my buddy work out my stats on Beersmith so I can brew. Well recently we have up'd production from a 10gal kettle for 5gal batches to a 25gal kettle with all the whistles. Its a statndard heavy duty aluminum kettle. Here my problem, theres not a setting on beersmith that I can see in equipment index for 25Gal kettles. Basically we are starting off small with 10gal batches until we are ready to go bigger. I need help with configuring a new equipment setting for the 25gal pot to do 10gal. I just want to make sure it right so I'm not off when it comes to Brew day. i've asked my buddy and his quess is as good as mine. any help would be a HUGE HELP!

    Thanks

I don't know, but I would imagine (hope) Beersmith has a parameter for Boil Off Rate, which is something that could change when you change kettle configurations. There's a Beersmith forum at...

Go into equipment and add a new 25 gallon kettle, pretty simple.

If you want it to be accurate you'll have to bench mark it yourself, e.g. put in an exact/known amount, and then after fixed boil times, cool, and measure what remains. Many variables are system dependent and you need to put in a little work to determine them.

FWIW my boil off rate for my 25 gallon kettle is about 1.5 gallons per an hour, but this value was determined with my brewstand burners. Might be an ok approximation for you first batch.
