Something about seeing a beautiful brew and a snowy scene, snow-capped porch, or icy backdrop really makes me thirsty. I've been impressed with some of your winter brew pics, and now that spring has arrived I'd like to reminisce a little. Have this photo I never got around to posting on our last Washington State Snowmegeddon - chosing to utilize a Leavenworth family name mug that I never thought previously to actually drink from.

What cool pics are you sitting on?!

Maybe this thread should be merged with the Beer In Nature thread?
(Something approaching half of my WBAYDN? pics were in snow, before I moved:beers:) (Location + a mild winter. Maybe more next winter? )

If I'd have known, I'd have taken pics on our biggest snowfall of the season... 10 inches on Halloween.

Now, that's just bragging. And, possibly unhealthy.

This is why I moved away from a Lake Effect area 20 years ago. Where I am now, about a month ago, the local ski area got about 11 feet in 9 days. Meanwhile, down here at sea level, in the same time, we got about 4 inches, and the schools were shut down for a week. SMH. Those poor kids are gonna be regretting those snow days in June......

Yeah, don't know how people in the Tug Hill, & UP can do that year after year.
Fortunately , there's rarely any lake effect snow here, & then it's usually just a little off the Finger Lakes. That^ was just a plain ol' (almost) stationary front . Was supposed to be 6-10.
Happened a few times that winter. Just after the previous Halloween, 1-3" turned into 27.8:flushed::laughing:

I spent my first 40 years as a 315er, within 5 miles of the shore of Lake Ontario. I was shoveling the snow off my roof that winter and decided "nope, never again"......

No. Drive 4 hours up into the mountains, get lost for another half-day, hike 3 more hours, take that awesome IG pic bro, and wait for the helicopter rescue.

    It's the only fair way.....
