Curious how this is counted. Here on BA I am currently listed at 171 breweries, but I keep my own spreadsheet, which lists me at 176. I've been going over this a lot recently, checking my entries at home on my own sheet, and I can't find any spelling or formatting mistakes(yet) but I was curious if the count here at BA counts subsidiaries as one umbrella entry? Aka Port and Lost Abbey or Grassroots and Hill Farmstead are just 1 entry rather than 2?

Breweries (mainly brewpubs) that are a part of a chain (like Rock Bottom or Gordon Biersch) are listed under the same master listing. The beers for production breweries with multiple locations will also be listed under a single master listing.

Does that mean that brands are considered 1? Using my examples again, Grassroots + Hill Farmstead = 1 and Lost Abbey and Port = 1?

Yes; if the beers are under the same master listing.

In the specific examples you site, they are not considered 1 (Grassroots and Hills Farmstead are two separate entries, same for Lost Abbey and Port)...

Perhaps it is a listing for a collaboration that is listed under a brewery you already had vs. the one you had one had?

I've definitely reviewed a lot of collaborative beers, although just skimming through my info, I've reviewed each one separately as well. I suppose without being able to see the site's back end info, I'll just chalk it up to umbrella listings, etc
