I was out and about today and stopped at an unfamiliar store and found the following:

    2008 Allagash Interlude
    Unibroue 15,16,17
    2007 Mephestoples

I bought one of the Mephs because I have an 09 and 11 and want to see what's up. I probably will drink the 07 tonight.

In your opinion are they worth buying? The big bottles were about 15, Meph 8.99.

    Thanks for any constructive input!

interlude is questionable... a bit of a subtle beer for trusting store conditions.

others may disagree, but i'd guess mephistopheles's is awesome. i find it delicious at most ages, and think it stands up to time and weird/non-ideal conditions like a tank.

in my experience, unibroue anniversary beers have always been good when found forgotten on the shelf.

I found a case of mephistopheles in a random non beer store from that year. Same price as you found, which is the same price as fresh. It tastes fantastic and is an awesome find, you should go back and grab another couple. It was a little off putting with the price for me at first, but after having it I got over that lol.

I agree with Pahn. I found some 16's on the shelf recently and is very tasty. That price is standard as well. Nice find!

    Good tasting!
