I couldn't track down any GF sculpin. been wanting to try that.

 

It's good, but not worth the $16 price tag IMO.

I wouldn't even consider it at $19.99 + tax at the Beer Store.

 

According to the FB page on 1/13: Perennial Abraxas coming soon. I think we can all read between the lines on that one.

 

Did Whole Foods get Abraxas, or are they going to? I totally missed this one.

 

WF Devon got it in about a week ago. From what I heard they only received 1 case which went extremely quickly. Keep your eyes open though because it's def hitting the area. I found a bottle at the Liberty Tap Room in Reading last Friday. Good luck!

 

Damn, I missed that one too... and I was even in there last week

 

I was very fortunate to grab the last bottle of Abraxas from WF Devon, along with The Dissident and the very first local Nugget Nectar stash, last Tuesday. The Abraxas bottles were behind the register cabinet, so unless you knew it was there, you unfortunately may have been at WF when they had it. I always ask if anything "special" is available when I go to WF.

 

Ah man... I was in that day. I wasn't aware that they did the 'behind the register' thing- most releases I've gone there for were just out on display... good to know I guess. Someday...

 

Just checked out the Beer Store, and noticed they aren't doing tax anymore? I wonder if they got dinged.

Some of his prices seem to have come down a bit, but there is still stuff sitting on the shelves ridiculously priced. Saw Black Butte XXVI for $27.99... when Wegmans down the street has a constantly rotating inventory of them $19.99

 

Yea I guarantee a few morons paid essentially $25 for a single glass of KBS (which is an overrated beer IMO). This place is good for some things but terrible for others.

 

So The BSM posted on their Facebook page that they will be tapping BCBCS today. I commented and asked "How many other beers are you going to make me purchase for the pleasure of an 8oz pour?" Someone from the shop commented on my remark, and then deleted both before I could read their remark.

So... I'm guessing a 6er of 312?

I saw the notification on my phone that they commented on my comment, but by the time I opened FB to look at it both had been deleted. I guess someone's feelings got hurt.

I didn't stay long enough to look around.

Literally told myself, if it's $8 for 8oz I'd get one. Saw $10 on the tap list and left immediately. If it had been anywhere else, I may have sucked it up and had one - but this was out of principal.

 

Buddy of mine was in the Southampton location and they had Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout for $13.99 a bomber; saw it at Trader Joes later that same day for $3.99.
