Going to Ketchikan, Alaska at end of the week. I was wondering if there are any decent Beer stores or beer bars in Ketchikan. Thanks Will
short answer: no. long answer: no. but there are a couple spots with an OK selection. New York Hotel isn't bad. Fat Stan's might be the best selection.
We did an Alaskan cruise several years ago, and the beer onboard was terrible. We got off in Ketchikan and I was jonesin for a beer, we walked out of the touristy shit and into town and stumbled upon Newtown Liquor in a little mall. Surprisingly, they had bottles from Anchorage Brewing and Midnight Sun. Needless to say, I was quite happy. I don’t know if they still carry that stuff, worth a shot I guess.
I couldn't tell you exactly but according to our beer finder, they serve Iron Horse at the Sourdough Bar, Asylum, and the Arctic Bar. Untappd activity looks solid. Fat Stan's also looks solid.
