I'm going up to Boston this week. I'm sure I can look up old threads to figure out what bars/stores to go to in Boston.

However, I was curious what I should/need to hit up on the drive up (or if I should just do my beer shopping in Boston).

Specifically looking for NEBCO and Jack's Abby beers as well. Even maybe breweries for growler fills.

I found NEBCO in Manchester, CT at Manchester Wine and Liquors. I would also suggest stopping at Yankee Spirits in Sturbridge, and then you HAVE TO hit up Julio's in Westboro on your way into the city. Mass. stores don't do growler fills.

Other than Manchester, I don't know shit about CT, but I've been to almost every store from Boston to Gardner

If you're going from NYC to Boston, you'll take the MassPike through Framingham. Exit 13 is for Jack's Abby, and it's maybe 10 minutes off the exit. If you check their website, they have extended holiday hours.

Mass Rising which won a medal recently at the GABF in Colorado just went back on tap at the brewery and it's starting to hit distribution in stores again. At stores, you'll find their standards -- Hoponious Union, Jabby Brau, Smoke & Dagger, etc. -- but becoming harder to find Kiwi Rising at stores at this point. Framinghammer and Jack's Evil Twin -- their collaboration with Evil Twin -- just hit stores.

YMMV, but I've never found NEBCO in Boston. If you're interested, I'd stop at their new brewery location or perhaps people in CT can recommend other liquor stores where you can find their stuff.

Also, I'd recommend Trillium in Boston -- they do samples and growler fills -- and Night Shift/Idle Hands in Everett (in the same building). They do samples, flights, glasses, growler fills and bottles. It's a 10-15 minute car ride from Boston depending on traffic.

Feel free to HMU if you have any other questions.
