Looking for good beer shops to buy cases six packs and bottles. Need fresh beer and good selection. Need around 10 cases. Will be in the ashland area. Any help is great. I do not want to lug all this beer with me. Local beers are ok as well. I just do not want to find 8 month old IPA and dusty winter beers.

    Thanx in advance

They have one in Catskill. I'm not familiar with Ashland but pretty sure you are looking at a 45 min drive. Their website is pretty useless and inaccurate. And check dates on beers...they don't rotate their stock. It's not an altogether bad place and it has a ton of beers...just expect some 8 month old IPAs and winter beers. But might be your best option unless someone more local chimes in.

You do not want to find 8 month old IPAs and dusty winter beers, eh? You might want to think twice about Beer World then.. Now, with that said, you might find some interesting, hard to find stuff (Fantome, 2012 BCBS, CL sours) at BW, but their inventory, regardless of the beer, is usually at a considerable mark-up compared to other stores, so if you're looking to buy cases, you might get shafted a bit.

Are you willing to drive past Catskill, maybe toward the Poughkeepsie area?

What route are you taking? If you are going Rt 84 to 87, then you will be passing by Middletown when you cross Route 17, and it looks like there is a good beer place there (at least you will only be lugging the beer part of the way ). No recent reviews, unfortunately.

Thanx all..... Ended up lugging cases of cans. Worked well. We saw nothing much more than SNPA, SN porter, bass and every macro you could name.

    Enjoy
