Next week I'll be in Philly for a big exam, but on my drive home to MA I was curious what the best beer store in the area would be that I could pick up beer that I can't find in Boston. Thanks for the suggestions.
Beer Heaven on Columbus & Washington has a really nice selection but is overly expensive. The pho restaurant next door has probably the 2nd or 3rd best pho in Philly too.

Beer Heaven has a terrific, terrific selection and astronomical prices. I still can't resist any time I'm driving through, screw it, it's only money. I stop and get some super hard to find stuff then a huge pile of food from the Pho restaurant then take it to go and it's money well spent. Damn now I want that Pho bad. I'm headed that way friday and wasn't planning on stopping there but then again...maybe I will.
I haven't been to Beer Outlet recently. I frequented them when they first opened at least once a week. I felt like Beer Heaven had better prices then I remembered from pricing at Beer Outlet. Maybe Beer Outlet has improved their pricing and they should warrant another trip. Beer Heaven although, like you said is pricier then Jersey was always my hidden little gem for hard to find beers. They always kept them around longer then most places.
