    Hi all. Im staying on 9th and 37th this weekend. Is there anywhere in this area to pick up some decent beer?

    The Whole Foods in Union Square might be worth a quick train ride away.
    If you'd like to sit at a bar, Ginger Man, Rattle n Hum, Stout NYC and Beer Authority are all in short walking distance.

    Whole Foods Columbus Circle is probably a better bet than Union Square, it's at 59th and 8th.

    Also agree with all the bars listed above, just add Pony Bar on 45th and 10th.
