Looking to start a beer testing study group in my area to get ready for the Certified Cicerone test. I have found several people who would like to do it, however most who have expressed interest do not work for companies that will foot the bill, so looking to do this without buying a lot of study guides. Testing in our area is in August for Cicerone, but since the BJCP is similar people expressed interest in that as well.

Has anyone done anything like this and if so any pointers?

    Thank you in advance!

Thank you, Yeah I've done a search for Cicerone, but trying to see if anyone had any experience creating a study group. "Beer bible study" if I may. But if they did it at a home, or local brewery, and if and how they split resources i.e. Study cards, beer tainting kits. Stuff like that.

I'm studying for it too. Chris Cohen's study guide is almost all you need from what I understand from people who've passed.

Maybe try posting in your region's forum to see if anyone else is taking it. It can be hard since a lot of people don't get the forums and I assume prefer to study alone.
Otherwise, try networking with Certified Cicerones in your area for help.
