Which breweries do you think make some really cool looking Ts, and which are lame, dorky, ugly etc.?

I'd like to put on my Santa list to try to get some sort of beer T-shirt / sweatshirt, but wanted some ideas and opinions from the beer crowd. I'd like to get one from a great world class brewer that isn't distributed in MD just for the obscurity factor. Founders, Bells, Hill Farmstead, Russian River etc.

I saw a guy at our local Oktoberfest sporting an Ommegang T. Thought that was pretty cool and unique.

Probably a ton of them out there but I hope to get the deer+bear = beer shirt sometime!

Moylan's makes the most hideous shirts I've ever seen. Food for thought.

P.S. For some reason, they don't do a Hopsickle shirt, either. Ridiculous.

FFF makes some awesome teeshirts like the gumballhead one and tons of zombie dust ones.

Russian River makes some cool "Pliny the Elder" t-shirts. I got this one for my bf not too long ago. http://russianriverbrewing.com/pliny-the-elder-short-sleeve-t-shirt/

I also really love all of the designs that Goose Island has for their fulton and wood beer premieres.

I hope that Pipeworks will make t-shirts in the future. Their beer artwork is pretty awesome. Can't wait to see what those t-shirts would look like.

I always choose my beers based on the best artwork on the label. I think I need to branch out to best Clothing

This is my main issue with most beer apparel; the products themselves are either cheap, poor-fitting, or simply not stylish.

That REVBREW scarf and hat set are awesome. I'd buy those.

I hate to promote Hill Farmstead any more than they deserve, however, their T-Shirts are very nice quality and were sold online for some time. Not sure if they still sell them online. Jester King's T-Shirts are also nice quality and the artwork is fantastic. On top of that, almost all of them are readily available for purchase online right to your front door.

If you buy shirts as gifts, it's best to get something cool looking but also comfortable.

My taste runs to Gildan Softstyle shirts, which are popping up at more and more breweries. Most brewery shirts seem to have been printed on the basic 100% cotton Gildan or Hanes Beefy T's, but if you see AA, Canvas cotton/poly blend and Anvil blended shirts as the base that's a good sign that the brewery cares about people wearing their beer brands. (mmm... Marketing.)

Good PNW stuff: The Bruery, Double Mountain, Gigantic, Breakside, 10 Barrel and some of the Deschutes stuff is nice. Better than average hoodies and technical sweatshirts from these breweries. Cascade has a very nice hoodie.

The last RR t-shirt was a weird fat and short fit. Haven't bought another one yet so I don't know if that's changed.

New Glarus shirts are pretty random and they seem to be all over the place for design and shirt quality. Variety at the brewery is much greater than what's online.

(I buy shirts/hoodies at breweries because my wife will divorce me if I buy another pint glass.)

Just looked at RR's site and it looks like they greatly upgraded the quality of their shirts.

While designs on the shirt are all well and good, the FIT is by far more important with fabric not far behind.
Some breweries go cheap and it shows. Some pony up for nicer fabric and shirts that don't make you look like you are wearing a tent or poncho.

Best shirts I have seen/bought/worn to date are: Bellwoods, and Greenbush.
Fit great at the start and after wears and washes. I hang dry everything.

I have a few FFF and Founders shirts. They are ok, but need to be babied in the washes so they don't shrink UP or fade. Tired hands seems to put out decent stuff.

I have a couple shirts that I am almost too embarrassed to wear they fit so poorly. And it sucks because the beer on them is awesome. (Witch's Hat Night Fury :slight_frown: )

    Good advice/opinions, thanks!

To address a few of them:
    - Yes, I realize asking beer nerds for fasion advice is probably a lost cause
    - I checked our RR's retail offerings online. I do like the Pliny T's/hoodies
    - Didn't care too much for the 3 Floyds designs.

Right now I'm leaning towards the Hill Farmstead "Civil Disobedience" T-shirt. Simple basice design, cool rebellious statement for the clueless masses to keep people guessing what the heck the shirt means, yet their symbol is well recognizable within us core group of BA hobbiests. If I saw a random guy walking down the street or at a beer festival with a Hill Farmstead shirt on (1000+ miles from Vermont) I'd think its pretty cool.

Pliny is probably my 2nd favorite though and I could still lean that way.

I still need to check out Bells and Founders. Founders artwork/labels are pretty cool, (except for the Breakfast Stout...I don't want to be out sportin' a shirt with a Gerber baby on it eating oatmeal).
