I've heard that they are cutting out the XIPA all together and making the TIPA and AIPA 6 month offerings. Or cutting out the AIPA and making the XIPA 6 months... Can't remember exactly which he said. I was just too excited about the Tasmanian. Pretty sure the X is going away though.

Regardless the TIPA will be a six month brew. And it should be starting with 2015.

Congratulations on reaching 100. May you have many many more to come. For my 100th I had an alesmith speedway stout. For my 500 I had boulevard Rye on Rye. In between I honestly can't remember and I stopped trying to get special beers for the milestones pretty much after 100.

I about to hit my 1000. Never really kept track but now I feel that I need to.

I'll admit I'm terrible about checking in new beers but I found it random that my 50 and 100 were both Firestone Walker beer and they aren't even distributed in GA. Union Jack for 50 and Double Jack for 100

Congrats on the milestone. So far, I have not purposefully lined up a special beer for any milestone review numbers. But perhaps for #2000, although I've got a few months at least to figure it out.

Thank you! Congrats on getting as far as you have, coming up on #2000 is no small feat!

Hit 100 and my 1 year BA anniversary last Sunday. 100 was St. Bernardus Abt 12 having it coincide with my anniversary was very nearly a coincidence (realized I could make it happen at beer 86 or so) I don't know if I'll try for other benchmark occasions but I thought my first should be special.

Keep in mind that the article claims he has only drank "British real ales". So, yeah, let that sink in for a moment...

Snagged an Epic Hop Zombie for #101 and it was far superior to #100. Very highly recommended.

I just realized I'm at the hallowed "119" milestone. Went with an Oak Aged Yeti Imperial Stout. Beautiful beer all around.

Unfortunately this link doesn't work for the UK , I would have been interested to view it.

We are talking about 30 years or so , there are countless breweries producing "one offs"
A few years ago the Marquis of Granby (one of two pubs in a village of 300 people) managed to sell 1500 different beers in under two years. This from only 6 pumps , there were also 2 permanent beers, Bass from gravity and Marquis.Nottingham beer festival managed over 1000 ales on cask at one time.
I am constantly finding beers I've never had before when going into pubs , with over 1400 breweries there's no shortage of choice.

I don't keep detailed stats like a lot here. Nothing wrong with that AT ALL. I understand the passion. My milestones are the first time I've tried some excellent brews- Black Note, Bourbon County, Pliny, 120 Minute, Kuhnhenn 4D, etc. Many more to try!!

A very interesting thread! I never really have given this any thought until now....and I'm approaching 400 reviews! Not sure what I'll do but then again I might not even think about it....I enjoy the randomness of beers I review!

#100- PC Honey Red- Brick Brewing
    #200- Old Hooky- Hook Norton
    #300- Dancing Trout Ale- Bayern

I will have to add that one to my list of wants so I can keep my eyes open for it!

I'm nearing the 500 mark. I never noticed any of the other "milestones" as I hit 100 and 250 pretty quickly. But I've been paying attention to nearing 500 for a while now. I want it to be something really special, maybe one of the Firestone anniversary beers. The problem is trying to find something I've never tried, but know I will love.

Bumping an older thread. Realized this morning that I hit 500 beers and 2 years on BA over the weekend - quite unintentionally. Bell's Expedition Stout. Aptly named in this case.
