Anybody want to do a tasting in North Jersey on this day? We will need a nice BYOB place that will allow us to bring and sample their cuisine and our beers. North Jersey meaning anywhere north of Route 78. Thinking of a 2 bottles (750ml)of really good beer to get in.

I'm interested - but don't count me as a definite yet. We're going to Vermont (Alchemist, HF and Lawsons) and will be back either the 16th or 17th....still not sure if we can squeeze the extra day. If I can make it, count me in for some type of VT beer.

Branchburg would be kinda far south for me... There are a few good spots in Morristown, Denville, Montclair, etc... Depends where OP is looking to be!

I thought of Montclair too - or Milburn/Springfield (by Wine Library). Have family in Bridgewater, I could always ask them for some names of places.

I usually stay in the Hampton Inn in Denville but anywhere that has good food and doesn't mind a lot of bottles and drinking is cool. Even supply ice buckets for the bottles.

La Cucina in Denville is a good option with plenty of seating (we'd want to reserve a large table in the back room), owner and staff are great and the food is AMAZE-BALLS.

Tomato Pie in Morristown has tons of seating, and is super BYOB-friendly.

Montclair has tons of really interesting BYOB options (Central American, Ethiopian, or Thai, to name a few).

    You make the call, danedelman!

Sounds good for me, can we change the date though? Let's push it back into October if okay.

Go ahead without me if you want though. I now will be in New Brunswick on this date.

Is it worth checking with the CloverLeaf? I don't know if the NJ laws will allow them to allow people to bring their own beer into the place, even if we got the upstairs room.
