I am writing this from the booth of a Granite City a fairly large chain in the North Suburbs of Chicago.

They sold these infusions at the restaurant so I tried one and they used a tea diffuser to extract the flavor of the fruits.

Have you guys done this ? If so what are you combining as your "infusion beers"?

Maybe Granite City is trying to start a trend. Other than a pour from one of Dogfish Head's Randall the Enamel Animal, I have not had anything infused at the retail level. When I had a pour from the Enamel Animal it was some rosemary, cucumber and lemon, or some combination of flavors like that. It was okay, but I'd rather have a hop flavor any day.

I've also heard of people buying cheap macro beers and infusing with some extra hops, but to me that seems like an unbalanced beer or like carbonated hop juice.
