Which beers or breweries have left your area that you miss the most? I grew up just north of Kansas City and have fond memories of Boulevard Wheat in the Summer, with a lemon wedge. After I moved back home to Virginia they started distributing here. Tank 7, dark truth, saison Brett, wheat would all be mine again!!

Well, they had a strong presence for a while and poof, no more wheat, no more dark truth, no more tank 7. I can find hoppy wheat, which is ok, but i'm not a hophead and prefer the original over the lightly hopped version. This is my personal beer tragedy, what is yours?

Missing Watch City Brewing, which used to be in Waltham MA.

Can't say I've ever experienced this problem, fortunately. I'd imagine downstate New York is a very profitable distribution area, so I see little incentive for brewers or distributors to pull out of the area.

Beer just keeps pouring  into NY - hate to rub it in  - can't think of a single brewer that's left the area - but over the past few years, we've gotten distro from Great Divide, Bell's, Boulevard, and more... :stuck_out_tongue: - and that's just three relatively big names that sprang to mind...

Stone, may be the last state to get them back.

Speaking of Great Divide, they did leave VA at one time, but thankfully they came back. I have my eye on a barrel aged old ruffian for next week.

If you're a hophead I could see that being a problem. I've been debating picking up a chair imperial stout by them.

I miss bear republic. They pulled out of MT since they've had the drought. Racer 5 and hop rod rye are 2 of my favorites. Hop rod rye is still the best rye beer I've had.

I have to admit, I miss picking up a few bottles of Pliny every month or two.

FFF was fairly common for a while just across the river in Southern IL.

I can't recall anything leaving PA, and if they did I guess it didn't impact me much at all.

Hold up, are you saying the California drought is causing breweries there to leave states?

Unfortunately yes, but MT was probably one of the smallest population states they distributed to. We are barely over 1 million I think.
