I'm currently drinking a Captain Lawrence Liquid Gold which I have had many times before, but only now have I noticed that I really don't like the aroma.

The flavor of the beer is fine though. Very tasty in fact.

Are there any beers in which you liked the flavor, but not the aroma?

(I call this the kimchi effect: it smells terrible but tastes so good.)

Homebrewers know that lots of yeasts throw off a sulfur smell that resembles rotten eggs or flatulence. At this point in the brewing process, the beers don't taste much better either.

Let's talk about how so many of us like a little skunk in our German pilsners. Seriously not a bad thing.

I had this same issue with Weyerbacher Double Simcoe at first, though that was out of the bottle. Since then, I've had it on-tap and loved it all-around.
