BEER TRADE NOOB

    While I generally think this is good ... I have some problems with recommending trading locals to someone in California.

    Why add that "tax" of $2 - $5 per beer on shelf beers when you have hundreds of amazing locals at your fingertips? You literally can't drink them all. If you're in an area with fewer excellent breweries (which is pretty much anywhere else) and worse distribution, then yeah, great, you've tried everything local that's good and could start trading for other locals. In California I find this less rational.

    Not that a lot of "locals" are undesirable but if you're in Cali it makes more sense to hold off on trading until you've tried all / most of the local goods and then when you do trade, go for your big wants and get locals as extras.

    Thanks a lot everyone. I'll be getting Amarillo showers from noble ale works tomorrow at its release event. I'm excited to try it especially of how good Citra and Nelson Showers were.
