Feedback re: individuals or re: the forum/moderation/etc?

 

ISO:FT. Should these forums be like the old ones that were Read-Only? Message (now conversation) the person with trade offers....

Seeing people replying to the threads and do not think that is the best way to go about it.

 

I voted yes with the caveat that it needs to be moderated closely.

 

I voted yes, but it's hard to say whether or not I'd like it without seeing exactly how it would work first.

 

Would this be in lieu of the trader feedback system you guys discussed creating a couple months back? Honestly, that sounded like the winning idea! I think having a single forum with everyone's thoughts about other traders would quickly become large and unwieldy.

 

So, post bad/good traders here?!

 

How about something like I post in the forum with my name and info. Then any one I do a trade with can post feedback as a reply. That way, all of my feedback is in one post, and I can link to that post in my profile.

Also, if someone posts negative feedback, I can reply to the directly, and hopefully fix the situation. If that forum lets you edit indefinitely, and delete your own posts, hopefully only the important stuff will be left.

 

Would this be in place of the long-rumored trader feedback system? I certainly don't see where another forum hurts, but a more formal rating system would be preferable.

 

How about this for now-- For the people you've traded with:
Go to their profile page and leave a public message that says you traded.

 

So the public message thing seems like it would work pretty well (at least as a temporary fix!).
How long do those messages stay viewable?
(check ShogoKawada's profile for an example of the type of comment I am referring to)

 

I'd say that would be good for recommending traders.

Now bad traders, we can still use the bad trader list, I guess?

 

Yeah, it occurs to me that I have the ability to delete any comment on my 'wall,' so bad traders won't be able to be outed by this current system... But, babysteps man, babysteps.

if there was a feedback forum- would someone submit a new thread for each trade, or would each trader have a thread that anyone could comment in?
