Carton Brewing in Atlantic Highlands NJ

Awesome beers, usually have a bunch of cans to choose from and no lines.

A second vote for Carton and then hit up Kane too (about 30 min south from Carton). You'll taste a ton of great stuff and come home with a boatload (see what I did there?) of cans with no lines.

Glad you mentioned that, Kane is awesome and you can easily walk away with Head High and Overhead cans

Nah... my mom had a place in Rehoboth, and I would leave Wilmington at 7a and get to her place by 820a on a Saturday morning in July. All of the renters that migrate down do so later in the day since they generally can't check in until 2-3p. The people who own places head down Friday night, hence the crazy rush hour traffic.

See my note above re: shore traffic.

My bad, I thought the drive originated in the philly area, leaving from Wilmington is a different matter.

Yes the key to this whole endeavor is as big a line as possible (this is sarcasm btw). I'm just saying the past couple years if there is a line we have made it worth our while but honestly just looking for another release to go to and brewery to try.
The drive does originate from Philly but I see his point.

Carton and Kane we have not been to so that's a good call.

No, you're right - he's leaving from Philly. My point was, if you leave at 6-7a you'll no trouble with traffic. If you leave at 10-11a, you're screwed.

You could also hit Flying Fish, Spellbound, and Riverhorse from south to north in NJ right along the Turnpike

2.5 hours south is Burley Oak in Berlin, MD. On Saturdays they release between 4-5 new cans, plus their beer is killer. Also it's near Ocean City, and not far from DE beaches. Could hit that on a Saturday morning, with hotel reservations in Rehoboth or near by. Then hit up the new Dogfish Brewpub.

Going down 113 or 13 you can hit a bunch of breweries. Evolution, 3rd Wave, 16 Mile, Mispillion.
