So, I have off from early Wednesday afternoon through Monday (9/9 - 9/14). This will be the closest thing I get to a vacation for likely another year or two, and I have a little extra cash to tour / visit some breweries and get a hotel for a night.

I was thinking of heading up toward PA, as I love the area but have never been to Tired Hands or Forest & Main. There's also Troegs, Al's of Hampden, Spring House, and others, but I've been on that loop many times.

Alternatively I was thinking of Bluejacket in DC, and Adroit Theory and some others to the south, but know much less about the area.

Thoughts / suggestions? If you were to put me on a map, I'm basically at Camden Yards.

While Blue Jacket is a really cool place, I think for an adventure you can do better, same with Adriot. If I had 4-5 days and time, I'd drive up to VT, hit Hill Farmstead, and the other many awesome places. You are in B-more, you can easily hit the DC or Philly stuff on any weekend you may have off.

While I would totally do that, my car is a bit of a wreck and I don't have hotel money for multiple nights. It has been a rough year financially with a job switch and whatnot. I thought of sleeping in the car, but don't know if that would be worthwhile.

Richmond has quite a few breweries to visit and is not a long drive from Baltimore.

Heavy Seas and Union Craft brewing if that is not to obvious. DC Breau is a great one to hit if your going south.

In Baltimore head over to Max's in Fells Point, truely world class. Alewife is also favorite. If you make it to DC don't miss ChirchKey, it doesnt get any better. Forget visiting breweries, save that for VT.

So you're asking where within a reasonable driving distance of Baltimore you can do an one night trip? NY, Philly, DC or Richmond are your best bets.

If your up toward Tired Hands, may be worth a visit to Vault Brewing. May be a few other NJ breweries nearby (Spellbound), but not positive.

Also can jump over to my home state and easily hit Carton and Kane. If you are into IPA's, can hit Other Half in Brooklyn. There is also Three's Brewing within walking distance and a bunch others. Check out the Other Half (September) thread and the first post has lots of info.

    Lot's of options!

Thanks for all the information everyone! Definitely thinking about some of the NJ/PA options. Realized today some political strife in town may cause delays in travel, but hey, we'll see.

After Center City Philly, go to Neshaminy Creek, Broken Goblet, The Vault, Riverhorse, Triumph, and Conclave, then loop over to The Ship Inn, Bucks County, Doylestown, Round Guys, Prism, Forest & Main, Conshohocken, Barren Hill, Manayunk and then Tired Hands!
