Apparently BUG's regular tickets sold out in 9 minutes. That's just crazy. I wonder if this is going to be the norm now for beer fests?

GI anniversary meanwhile takes 8 hours. Now that is crazy.

I'm still shocked at the time it took for GI 25 to sell out...thought it would have been minutes just like stoutfest.

Not having a thread on here talking it up for 2 months prior probably helped a bit. I'm not mad about it.

Maybe the amount of tickets were pretty high? Limit was 4 per transaction. Plus, with no concrete draft list $75 was probably too much for people.

If I understand correctly they are shutting the whole pub down for the 25yr party, so there are a lot more tickets. That combined with $75 and only vague notions of what will be on tap and what food will be included probably slowed the sell out process. Also as I said early it is the day before Mother's Day, which may have kept a few people (like me) from buying because they have family obligations.

Just got 2. Wanted to go last year but got in too late. My recollection is that the tix didn't sell out as quickly as they did this year. There are 127 VIP's left. Really looking forward to another fun event.

Hmmm. I would have liked to attend this. I can't believe the regular tickets sold out this swiftly. (I ponder if ticket brokers|scalpers have discovered there is seemingly a profitable market in craft beer events. :slight_frown:)
I hope, when it doesn't sell enough V.I.P. tickets, it redistributes the remnant tickets for regular purchase.
