I'd agree with your sentiment, I drink faster from the glass as well as opposed from can or bottle, especially the bottle. It's one reason why I drink my hoppy beers from the can, an aggressive pour introduces a ton of oxygen which IMO mutes the taste a bit, and after the initial great smell it dulls a bit too. All in all it reduces the carbonation and the beers slide a bit easier.

Love those mugs, the only ones I know of now is Mickeys Malt which I don't like.

I agree with that. Less carbonation is mainly why I started using a glass, long before I realized the aroma-taste connection.

I drink much faster out of the can or bottle. Type of glass matters quite a bit too, I'll drink faster out of a Pilsner, shaker, or sa perfect pint than I will from a snigfter or tulip.

Too many variables to really make sense of. For example, some folks seeing their beer may make them crave it more and drink it faster, while others seeing it may make them realize they are drinking too fast and slow down. Thirst caused by heat is likely a factor, as is the temperature of the beer.

I drink faster out of can than a glass usually.

Type of glass also affects speed. I drink faster from a pint glass than a stemmed glass.
