So I went out to dinner tonight at this fancy restaurant that also has a semi-decent rotating tap list (always has Southern Tier Great Lakes, Brooklyn, Founders). I ordered a Southern Tier Live, and noticed it had a really faded hop profile, with a weird watery aftertaste. It felt like I was drinking water. It smelled hoppy, but had no discernible flavor. Hoping it was just a bad beer from Southern Tier, I next ordered an Otter Creek Hop Session. Same story. Muted hops with a watery aftertaste. So would anybody know if this is somehow a problem with the restaurant's tap lines? What would cause two different beers to taste basically the same- muted hop flavor with a watery aftertaste?

An aftertaste cannot be watery. A beer can. Live is a bit watery, but brilliant nevertheless. This thread is brown pants with commercials

I will edit the description. The aftertaste tasted like nothing. It tasted like I was drinking water. Both beers tasted that way.
