BeerAdvocate Does Brooklyn Feb 28th

    Todd and I will be back in town in conjunction with our brew-day at Sixpoint for our Beer4Beasts brews. We'll be tearin it up on Thursday Feb 28th & Mar 2nd.

    Was thinking of mixing it up and not hit the usual stops we do aka "spread the love".

    Anyone have any other suggestions? Anything new?

    Missing the opening of Tørst by about a week but we'll be back in April to rock Brooklyn again.

    Kinda surprised you're skipping Mugs Alehouse (10th & Bedford) and Spuyten Duyvil (Metro & Havemeyer). That is, unless they were your previous "regulars".

    Also: if you've never eaten at Traif (S 4th & Havemeyer), you should fix that immediately. Short walk from the itinerary you've outlined. The beer list is good though not revolutionary, but the food is some of the best in Brooklyn. It's one of the very few places in all of NYC that I return to regularly. Highly recommended.

    We've been to Mug's and Spuyten numerous times, thanks for the suggestion of Traif ... I'll keep them in mind.

    If you're in that neighborhood you could hit Mission Dolores, Bierkraft, 4th Ave Pub, Pacific Standard, or Bar Great Harry. None of them are new but they are all good places to grab a beer.

    We generally hit those places during Beer 4 Beast weekend aside from Pacific Standard ... never been there, we'll have to drop in soon. Bartenders at Mission Dolores rock.

    Strong Place on Court Street. Sheep Station on 4th Avenue just a few blocks south of 4th Ave Pub.

    Visited Strong Place last year ... good times, would go back as well. Definitely will check out Sheep Station during Beer 4 Beasts weekend or perhaps even on Mar. 2nd.

    Park Slope huh? My favs (that you didn't mention):

    Sea Witch - Beer selection is meh. Burgers are incredible.

    Beer Table - Great, though small, beer selection. The place is probably the size of someones kitchen...

    Bierkraft - You have probably been here before. Good, expensive beer. Tasty sandwiches.

    The Gate - Probably the best beer selection out of all the listed bars.

    Union Station - Okay selection. Awesome place.

    Double Windsor - good food and beer selection.

    Double Windsor is awesome but Cash Only. They used to serve the best chicken sandwich I've ever eaten (apparently it is now a rotating special).
