    Just a quick FYI ...

Todd and I will be in Chico doing up Sierra Nevada Beer Camp from Aug 4th-6th, on the 7th we'll be hitting up Bear Republic, Lagunitas & Russian River. The 8th (last day of the trip) we'll be in San Francisco ... itinerary TBA.

Follow us on twitter, come out for a pint!

I will be updating the itinerary in this post frequently until it is finalized.

    Cheers!!

Playing around with google maps ... this line up looks good for SFO.

Establishment opening and closing times as well as distant were major factors. Hoping to start at Noon on the 8th.

For SFO, I'd skip Thirsty Bear and hit up Southern Pacific. Come to think of it, I'll be in SF on the 8th.

If a firm date/time for RRBC appears, I'll do my best to be there.

Very cool that you are guys are going to Beer Camp.

You might want to check out the Handle Bar just down the road from Sierra Nevada. It's a pretty nice little pub with about 20 taps of good stuff.

I second skipping Thirsty Bear, but put in my vote for Monk's Kettle. Southern Pacific is also a good choice, much better than Thirsty Bear.

I might be at RR if things go right and something special is coming out...

Not for nothing but a 3.34 beer review average compared to 3.64 is a decider for me ...

I respect that . . . at the same time, Thirsty Bear is pretty much a tourist attraction, geared toward convention visitors at nearby Moscone Center. Southern Pacific is a restored historical building in a revived industrial part of the Mission, with a great vibe and decent guest taps. It's also smack dab in the middle of your itinerary just before Anchor Brewing. Maybe "and" instead of "or"?

I will think about this ... "vibe" helps as well. Swapped out Anchor for Speakeasy ... no good tour times for us at Anchor that day.

Russian River is going to be slammed that night with the Wednesday night Farmers Market happening on 4th street.

Nevertheless, it will still be amazing! Maybe try to book a reservation if you want to be able to sit at a table without waiting an hour or so.

I'll try to make it down that night as well. Have a great trip out here!

I was thinking of stopping by that night, but I generally avoid Russian River like the plague during Wednesday Night Market.

I was thinking the same. If it were me I would reverse bear republic and russian river for a smoother day, but RR at capacity can be a good time as well
