    Hey everyone--

Thought it'd be fun to start a thread for the upcoming Microbrew Invitational for beers everyone wants to try/beers to look out for!

    What's everyone looking forward to?

There's a lot I wanna try, but my priorities are...

Trying Common Roots, Steady Habit, and J. Wakefield for the first time
    IPAs from Other Half
    Stouts from Hardywood
    BA goodies from Barreled Souls
    Pretty much everything from Fiddlehead

There are 3 Goses that sound good and I like some tasty low ABV beers mixed in with heavy hitters: Cambridge Brewing Bullpen Hijinks, Barreled Souls Tequila Gose, and Mystic Scatteree. If anyone likes Flanders style check out Cambridge Brewing Oakily Dokily. Really good.

Any reports of exceptional brews from Friday night or Saturday afternoon? Us Saturday evening folks need the intel on the must-tries.

I did not sample a huge number of beers last night (going back today), and all were good, but two standouts were the Hasenjäger Pilsner from Lively Brewing and The Wind (a Gose dry-hopped with Mosaic) from Lost Nation. Try the Sake from Dovetail, too.

From a line: Common Roots brought 3 beers with 20+ reviews with above 4.25 ratings, the BA farmhouse with juniper and lime is my favorite so far, and there's basically no line. I thoroughly enjoyed all their beer.

A little late but Marylan from RAR is seriously a clone of Tree House Lights On.... it's awesome! And please, all of the J. Wakefield was amazing! I mean EVERY SINGLE BEER!

Lots of really good ones. Finback Oscillation 004 was a standout for me. Also really liked Firefly Hollow's barrel-aged wood drip. Pretty outstanding!

Really enjoyed a few different beers I no particular order:

Big Poppa - J. Wakefield ( All 4 beers were fantastic)
    Stay Puft - Barreled Souls
    Telectroscopic - Other Half
Coco Coco Shiv - Prison City
    Phaser Marmot - Medusa
Galaxy Dry Hopped The IPA - Bldg 8

Was pleasantly surprised by others too. This was a great fest to try beers from breweries many had never heard of.
