Tough choices.....

 

Within 500 miles I haven't been to Hoof Hearted yet. Just outside 500 (540) I'm going to Ozark this weekend for BDCS.

 

I would head for La Cumbre. At 521 miles from Sherwood Texas, I would hike the final 21 miles if OP's rules don't allow mileage overage on the vehicle.

 

I would probably head to Sly Fox..about 350 miles from here. Love their on tap lagers.

 

Tight on the 500, but Tired Hands.

 

Odell, Great Divide, New Belgium, Live Oak, Free State, Boulevard, or Schlafly

If I had to pick one, probably Live Oak.

 

Anywhere in VT

 

Tired hands 5 minutes down the street.

 

Lots of options from where I live: Hill Farmstead, Tree House, Trillium, Oxbow, Bissell Brothers, Foundation, Tired Hands, Kane, Carton, Jack's Abby, Grey Sail.

If I didn't have the nightmare of ridiculous tolls and traffic I can't even imagine how much more frequently I would be going to these places.

2. Firestone Walker - 189 Miles

3. Alesmith - 480 miles

 

Well that would put me smack dab in Quebec, so I'd be content with all the great breweries. And bands. Quebec's extreme music scene is criminally underrated/undiscussed.

 

New Glarus, at about 275 miles. I've been there already, but I really look forward to going back there.

from where i live, my alma mater of Ohio State is damn near 500 miles on the nose. so i'd love to hit Columbus Brewing, or visit some friends in Strongsville to hit Brew Kettle and Great Lakes Brewing.

or i might grab my friend in CT and hit up the scene in New England.

either way, i'd make it a social thing. i have friends who live in OH and CT so either region works for me.

 

First choice would be Asheville at 195 miles. I make this trip a few times a year. For somewhere new to me, Tampa is 459 miles. Also, Upland Brewing in Bloomington, Indiana is exactly 500 miles from my house, if we want to add a new wrinkle to this thread.

 

Treehouse, Trillium, Hill Farmstead, Alchemist, Bissell Brothers, Allagash, MBC, and Oxbow. Tough decision

 

1 industrial park way Portland, ME. Can hit Bissel, Foundation and Austin street.
