I was wondering what would be the best bottle shop to hit either nearish to Roswell or Athens GA? I'm doing a trip from Grand Rapids, MI down to Thomasville, GA and incorporating around 20 stops on the way, but I want to find a bottle shop with a wide selection of things I can't really get here in GR. I may be willing to travel slightly if there is a great shop a little outside of the way. Those are my criteria, GO!! and Thanks for the help! Cheers

The only suggestion I can make is, Thomasville GA is about 30 miles from Tallahassee FL. You could head down to Tallahassee, specifically Proof Brewing Co & Bottle Shop near FSU and pick up some good beers, including Cigar City and other stuff distributed around FL. I will leave the rest of the suggestions to folks in between Michigan and GA.

If you are on a bee-line to Ga. that's just fine and you'll get great advice here. If you have wiggle room in your itenerary, head east to Asheville just for a bit, if you haven't visited before. The mountains are beautiful and Asheville is a hoot.

If you are driving through Atlanta , Hop City and Greens are a short detour off the interstate. Ale Yeah in Roswell is great too.

Thanks for the help everyone! I ended up going to Total Wine and Spirits in Kenessaw, GA for my bottles/cans to bring home. Coming from Grand Rapids I made stops in Ann Arbor, Colombus, Yellow Springs, Cincinatti, Lexington, Louisville/New Albany, Nashville, Asheville, Athens, and Cleveland. Nearly 20 stops in 10 days. Sad I missed the ones in Roswell (stayed there with my brother and his family!) but i was on a tighter schedule coming home than anticipated. Betweeen bottles that came home and all the beers i tried on the trip i will have had the opportunity to try 165 new beers I've never had before! Trip of a lifetime.

    Cheers!
