Does Beer'd not have a phone number that people can call to see what is on tap? If FB and Twitter are unreliable, surely taking 5 minutes to call them to see what is on tap is not that much of an inconvience....

if my job was buying beer, sure. but since their job is selling beer....

Um... Ok... Not at all following why making a quick call to see what is available for growler fills is such a hardship. Anytime I am heading out for something specific I call the location to see if they have what I am looking, not just beer but other purchases too.

But maybe you're right, it probay makes more sense to just spend an hour in the car only to be disappointed and pissed off when I get there due to a limited selection of beer.

wow, these are not valid criticisms. i go to beer'd all the time. never had a problem using FB to see what's on tap.

I check FB, websites, twitter and the last resort is to call. beer'd posts on FB @ 3-5 pm on friday and @ 10-11 on saturday's. this isn't rocket science people.

do you people actually travel out of state for beer with out calling, or checking social media? do your homework people. we're supposed to be BA's.

Again, this was this summer. I visited the last week in July. Over a month with no posts, and that's only what I could get in the screen capture - most of the summer is like that. Summer. When the area is flooded with tourists. As you say, the twitter account is/was more comprehensive.

My point stands: its only recently that they've gotten better at the marketing side of things. Hence no buzz. Maybe they don't care. I didn't travel to CT go there either - I swung by because I happened to have to be in New London.

Their Twitter feed seems to be mostly pushed from their FB content. For some reason FB no longer shows their text only posts from that time period, only showing story links and pictures, but they definitely existed at some point in time as they're still available on Twitter.

Small brewery, vety small...nano....doing the best they can.Lay off and CALL before you go. You will love the beer. This is simple. Aaren and his wife are good people. Learning as they go. Give them a break on the facebook updates he is busy brewing.

I think that you people should stop talking about them so that I can get there before they become the next NEBCO... and I'm not going to call first or anything.

Had my first Beer'd beer last night at The Engine Room ( really good new place in mystic) and really enjoyed it. World at Large APA/IPA was very clean and drinkable with great hop flavored and aroma. Beer'd has been on my radar for a year or so but until last night hadn't had the opportunity to try any of their beers. Will definitely be making my way down to the brewery for some growlers ASAP.

Looks like this is a good weekend to check out Beer'd. Sojourner Saison, By the Bushel Belgian Pale, Midnight Oil Oatmeal Stout, World at Large Pale Ale and a new Imperial IPA Weight of Sound on tap. A solid mix of different styles, especially for those who have never been.

Beer''d is great. There beers are excellent, and I'm going to say on the tails of NEBCO.

I'm going to make every effort to stop in on Sunday. I've been meaning to visit for a while now, not much of an excuse considering how close I am.

Planning on making the trek tomorrow... excited to see my new (well, new to me) local brewery. Any insight on how busy they are on Saturdays?

if you go on Saturday and walk in at 4:59 pm they will happily fill your growlers. but if you go at 4:59 pm on Sunday they will not b able to fill your growlers because of CT's Sunday liquor laws.

I almost always hit up the malted barley in westerly, RI. it's a beer bar and pretzel joint about 5 mins from beer'd.

hit or miss. i've been there and it's been mobbed and I've been there when it's been slow but steady. they give samples of each beer and if it is busy there may be a bit of a wait but not an hour like Tree house can be.

Hopefully they start distributing their stuff soon, I've heard good things. However, I can't justify the hour long car ride from New Haven just to try it out.
