I think the whole cicerone program is just starting to gain some traction, at least over the last few years. I think you'll see more and more small to mid-size breweries began to require this, at least the beer server certification.

I hope so. The server test despite people thinking it's just how to pour beer, requires knowledge of history, styles, ingredients, brewing process and kegs and lines equipment. I consider it more than general knowledge. It'd be nice to get recognition on a career level. And the price per test I'm sorry but it's quite high. At 400 an exam. I'll get it one day.

Their weediquete series pissed me off. Made cooking with green almost this whole idiotic thing. It's not that overly complicated. Can only imagine their bedrooms series.

I solely only care about Hamilton. Only thing worth of value. The rest is half assed journalism.

They don't pay film crews very much if at all that often.

I believe your thinking of Bong Appettite. Weediquete does not do the infusion stuff. I think Bong Appetite is awesome, the shit Addulah comes up with for the finale's is fucking awesome.

    Cheers!

She's so awkward when talking to the home brewers it's hard to watch.

I watched 1.5 episodes of Season 1 and I just couldn't watch anymore because of her communication 'style' (or lack thereof).

    Cheers!

I just could not get into the show, she drove me nuts. LOL

Does anyone like the beers from her company? I tried a few and they all seems average at best. Am I missing something but nothing was mind-blowing that I had.

Cannot stand the host. You would think vice would do a good job at this. But yeah. Somehow reruns of BrewDogs are better to watch haha.

It'd be fine by me if they replaced this show with some three sheets, or DME. Zayne is fkn awesome!

I saw an episode of this last weekend. Set the DVR to record the series just for fun. It was the Portland episode and I thought the home brewers were, well... weird. I would have had a lot of trouble communicating with those cats as well. The ALS patient was an interesting story, but frankly brewing is secondary in that situation.

I'll watch a few more episodes before I pull the plug on Beerland. But I'll be looking for subjects who look, and brew, more like me.

I liked the 'Beer Geeks' show. It was short lived, but being a home brewer and something of an amateur chef I really liked that show.

I thought I had cancelled recording this last season, but the Portland episode popped up on my DVR, so I decided to give it another shot.

At first I thought, Ahhh, now I get it. She's just stoned. But no, that's not it. The host is just really awful at doing a TV show.

I admit, the people they interviewed in the first segment were a bad imitation of a bad Portlandia skit. Maybe it's changed in the three years since I left, but when I was there, even the worst hipsters, hippies and yuppie wannabes weren't that bad.
