So I am using beer pal today for my oatmeal stout and looking at my grain bill, I am just wondering what some numbers mean- like 8 lbs and its says 76.2% 37ppg, 1.5L I am not sure what that means, I think the 1.5L means color, but the percentage and the ppg I do not know, nor dose my packets of grain have those numbers on it.

My guess is the percentage is the percentage of that particular grain (by weight) in your total grist. The PPG stands for 'points per pound per gallon' and represents the theoretical potential for sugars that could be extracted at 100% efficiency. e.g. if you mashed 1 lb of malt @ 37ppg in one gallon of water, and got 100% efficiency, you'd have an OG of 1.037.

Edit: yes, the 1.5L means 1.5 degrees lovibond, a measure of color
