So, I figured this might be fun for music lovers.

The Mars Volta - The Bedlam in Goliath : Troeg's Flying Mouflan
"My god this is good, but it's so damn loud! It's heavy, but it's bright. I want more, but just soften it up for a little! Give me a break! And of course it's an hour and fifteen minutes. Why not a smaller format, like an EP?"

The Beatles - The White Album : Dogfish Head Immort Ale
"There are a lot of good ideas here, but why include them all? I mean, "Blackbird" and "Helter Skelter" on the same album? Just not sure when not to include something? I like you a lot, but, you know, sometimes less is more."

Incubus - Fungus Amongus : Boulevard Imperial Stout Batch 2*
"I haven't even tried listening to you, and I don't think I want to. Sometimes funky things and heavy things just don't mix. I feel as if this is one of those times. On paper, this sounds awful."

Ramones - Ramones : Theakston Old Peculier
"Remember when everyone though you were loud and raw? Hell, nowadays you've got to have a schizophrenic metronome and stock in Digitech to be considered extreme. Ah, I'll always know how badass you really are."

*I understand this was a mistake, but that would ruin its purpose here

This is tough, but I'll go with this...

    Two Hearted and Abbey Road

It's a classic, and it's really what got me started in good beer and music. It's got a great backbone with many layers of melody and hop flavor. After several, they seem to move together seemlessly. And in the end, its all good!

Tedeschi Trucks Band- Revelator: Two Hearted
Awesome album, instant classic. The beer speaks for itself. Some may not love it but everyone should appreciate it. It you have nothing good to say about either, I may have nothing good to say about you.

for me its LA Woman by The Doors. So may good songs upbeat songs to celebrate with, then some great blues licks as well. Been Down So Long is angry blues, and the only thing to pick you up is Two-Hearted. dont forget LA Woman song. after a few two-heartedes, mr mojo will rise.

My morning jacket - Okonokos - Heady Topper: Smooth, goes beyond your expectations or blows your mind if not familiar. It's one you want to kick off your shoes, sit back and enjoy from start to finish.

Bone Machine- Tom Waits- Le Coq Imperial Stout: there's so much here that is so elemental and raw, but it has been fractured and tormented until it is revelatory, one foot in the past and one foot in your gut, kicking and screaming hallelujah all the way.

Who are the Beatles? I've never heard of them.

In all seriousness, I like the Peculier comparison.
