I really enjoyed Victory's Red Thunder, baltic porter aged in red wine barrels. I thought the chocolate and dark fruit notes just went beautifully with the tannins from the barrel.

I think it was last brewed in August of 2013 though....

But in terms of general style....porter and red wine go well

One of my favorites is the Moa Imperial Stout aged in Pinot Noir. With New Zealand hops it was a treat indeed. I am trying to remember what Italian craft I have had in wine barrels. Loverbeer and Montegioco come to mind though...

And for that matter, I had a bordeaux barrel aged flemish red from Struise last week, Ypres, that was absolutely fantastic as well.

Westbrook's Red Wine Can Can truly is special. It tastes nothing like a quad and does not drink like a 13% beer. Juiciest quad I have ever drank. Soooo delicious! !

Fred's Blend Bomb from Prairie is super wine tasting from being in Port barrels.

I love all kinds of wine barrel aged beers.
Most recent favorite was a 2006 Abbaye De St. Bon-Chien. Wow. Had it in cellar since 2011- worth the wait.
