Westvletern's are terrible if you have the special pen light to see them.

Dark horse. Who designed their labels, a freshman in graphic design school that is legally blind in one eye?

Also, wow, I didn't think there would be so much hate for fff's artwork. I like most of their labels and a curse on the houses of all that oppose me!! muahahahaha :grinning:

No votes for Bell's yet? They're recognizable but not in a good way in my humble opinion. Excellent beer though. Just not into the nature scenes.

Bell's is perfect for what a beer label should display and communicate about the beer within. However, the quality of the labels themselves are horrible. By the time it gets to the store, its halfway to falling off or looking soaked. Same for Founders.

Central Waters' old labels suck ass, even on the bourbon barrel series. I know they have new ones coming out, but I still call CW just because I can't stand how ugly the yellow labels are.

Dark Horse is pretty ugly, I have no idea what they're trying to get after with some of their label artwork (other than the Crooked Tree which is self-explanatory, and I guess the Ass one, but it's pretty tacky). And the labels are a sticky pain in the ass to get off for those of us who homebrew.

For those of us who shop at Woodman's (WI, IL), I have to say Woodman's Brewery or whatever it is easily has the worst labels EVER.

I think that Hot Fuzz Imperial Porter aged in Bourbon Barrels by Brash Brewing is completely foolish, but the beer tastes damn great!

I actually really like the newer Green Flash labels:

The older ones are pretty tacky looking, but the new ones are simple and have a nice color palette. Making each individual bottle have one dominant color really helped.

I can't stand Hopping Frog's labels. And I wasn't familiar with Dark Horse's labels before this thread, and I would have to agree that those are pretty awful as well.

Flying Dog. At first I wouldn't try any of their beers just cause their labels annoyed me so much.

Across their brand, Great Divide has first-rate labels. To each his own.

someone mentioned it in a similar post, but this thread would be HUGELY improved (err... considering the topic maybe not hugely, but you understand...) with pictures? I mean sure, most people have seen what ZD or Green Flash look like (even if they've not tasted them themselves), but in a conversation about the quality of the visual, to have almost no pictures... jussayin
