Achel always gets my vote. As I've said before, it looka like supermarket homebrand beer.

Russian River. Love the beers, the labels look like WordArt.

Alesmith Brewery is too boring, but one of my favorites. Which is why it took so long for me to try.

Flying Dog....I know it is love/hate split with them, but I'm on the hate side. Weyerbacher labels were pretty weak, but their rebranding is looking better.

I'm surprised at how many aren't crazy about the Three Floyds labels. They're so cartoonishly absurd, I can't help but be a fan. I mean, Rabbid Rabbit and Panzer Wolf for example's sake, how could anyone not love those?

By no means a commentary on the beer inside, but Russian River's labels are pretty dull and amateurish. Not that they really care, I'm sure.

I find a lot of the San Diego-area breweries to have stale labels that to me feel like they came from the 1990s "microbrew" era....Green Flash, Ballast Point, Alpine, etc etc.

Also agree with a few posts above re: not liking the new Ommegang branding. The old labels had more of a classic Belgian feel.

Definitely disagree! I really don't know why, but I love Weyerbacher's labels. I Especially like the new logo: [IMG]
    Much better than this logo:

As well as the new cap:

    Better than the old:

Ugh. This beer could be the greatest in the world.

    ....and I will never know.

I've seen multiple people mention Weyerbacher for having bad labels over multiple threads the past several days, so I went and found some pictures online and didn't understand the hate.

I mean, they certainly aren't the best labels I've ever seen, but they are stylistically consistent and interesting, and yes, they are MUCH better than the older comic sans knockoff font that they used on the labels/caps.

I agree, I hate the Lightning labels and it is hard to distinguish between different beers. I have Black Lightning and Electrostatic at my bar and definitely my least favorite presentation. The brewer is a PhD in biochemistry I believe so probably needs to hire a graphic designer that's not so nerdy, you could do something much cooler with lightning!

    Saint Arnold (fugly)
Pliny the Elder (all the RR "-ation" labels are cool though)
    Green Flash
    Rogue
Westy 12 (with no label at all, not my style)
    New Glaurus
    Weyerbacher
Southern Star Black Crack (suck ass barrel aged stout too)

My list really could go on, but I'll stop haha

I'm wondering if they were talking about the old style. The first thing I noticed when I picked up a 4-pack of Double Simcoe IPA a few weeks ago was how much I liked the label design. Though I think the old Blithering Idiot label is a bit closer to what my face will look like than the new one after a few. :stuck_out_tongue:

The Central Water's label comes to my mind. Outstanding beer though.

Bell's has the most bland labels ever. Hopslam has a cool label, but every other Bell's beer just looks cheap. Good thing most of us here do not judge a book by its cover.
