Hey guys, my mom is visiting my sister in Colorado and going to be in the Denver and Boulder areas, I live in south Florida and she said she will get me some beer, what beers should I ask her to get me that we may not get in south Florida or may be harder to find? I like IPA's, stouts, porters, sours, and farmhouse ales mostly although I'm open to anything good. Also let me know where to find those beers also so I don't send my mom on a wild goose chase.

    Thanks for the help,

    Mike

Where is your mother staying in Denver. I would honestly just have her walk into the best store near there and ask.

I don't know what's available in Florida but there are some active threads in the Mountain forum on Colorado stouts, porters, and ipas you might want to check out for opinions on many of the CO beers. There are so many good ones it's hard to make a short list but to name a few Avery, Casey, and Crooked Stave beers seem highly regarded by most (although availability may be an issue) and beers like Odell Myrcenary IPA and Oskar Blues Ten Fidy probably deserve a mention too. Also if you don't get Prairie in Florida, Bomb and Christmas Bomb are not hard to find here. My personal favorite store is Mile High W&S - they could certainly help your Mom get some good beer for you.

Mr B's, Grapevine, or Mile High are all good. All of them employ some good people with beer knowledge.
Special shout out to small batch liquors, service is phenomenal. Their selection isn't the largest, but they focus on carrying really great stuff (don't even have macros) and prices are surprisingly competitive.
Sours- do you get Crooked Stave? If not, that's a good choice.
Stouts- look for Copper Kettle Snowed In, Big Bad Baptist, Left Hand Bittersweet, uh...
