Hello all! First post here. I live in Massachusetts, about 30 minutes south of Boston. I'm visiting family in the Phoenix area in a couple of weeks, looking to see what beers I should take advantage of being able to get. I do like the Papago brewery (Orange Blossom) in Scottsdale. I drink mostly IPA's but looking for any recommendations of things I can't get here in Mass. Seems like Total Wine has a good selection of craft brews. Thanks!
Check out Fate in Scottsdale, they make some interesting stuff and usually have some good guest taps. I'd also recommend SanTan in Chandler. Their Sunday brunch is excellent and I've been really impressed with some of their new beers (Supermonk and Moon Juice).
If you want local good IPA's (in no particular order). Sun Up, Four Peaks, Fate, Papago, Huss, BJ's and Lumberyard. You might check seekebrew to see what is distributed here but not there that would interest you. Offhand I'd say you may want to seek out Bells, Coronado, Odell, Epic, Knee Deep, and Ska as a few examples for good IPA's. In the age old debate of where to shop I prefer Papago, AZ Wine or Whole Foods over all others because they keep all the beer cold and then Tops over the bigger box stores.
