    Hey Guys,

So I'm heading into the Seaport area, walking down the Rose Kennedy Greenway, going to the ICA, probably the North End, hitting up some stuff around the area with my family this week. I know Trillium is over there on the RKG and their new/old Fort Point location, which I went to way back in the day. I've been kind of loosely following what's going on with them over the last year or so, but it's a lot of information to track down. Anyway, should I hit up FP? Are their beers back on point or what? They've always been probably my favorite brewery in the U.S. If not, what other beer places do you recommend over there. I've been to Row 34 and know they have a great taplist, but we're probably looking for something a little more casual. Thanks!

It is my experience that Trillium is definitely back on point and it is definitely worth checking out, however others may think differently.

Honestly you can’t go wrong with eating at the upstairs restaurant at Trillium, they have a very good burger and fried chicken sandwiches with your typical Seaport prices. The next more casual place to recommend is City Tap which is a step below Trillium in terms of both food and tap list, but it still decent in both.

More downtown, The Merchant also has a decent food menu/ taplist as well.

The new Trillium location is gorgeous. The beers have been great. I've popped over there twice this week and am doing it again today for the Coconut Cake bottle release. Yesterday evening it was absolutely mobbed downstairs ~6:00 pm, but the upstairs restaurant had plenty of open seats and was much quieter if you're looking for food. The Greenway has a much smaller taplist, naturally. I have always also enjoyed The Ginger Man which is a short walk away.

I can recommend City Tap and Gather.

City Tap is more casual than Row 34 and typically has a pretty great draft list (though I feel like Row 34 is pretty casual too). Definitely recommend making reservations at the Trillium restaurant though.
