Voodoo brewery love child beer.....what else would I like? I have tried a few others beers such as lavery brewery dulachan and got a pine taste afterwards. Since I am very new to this wondered what it means and what else I might like that is more malty than hoppy?
Voodoo Love Child is a high ABV Belgian Strong Ale...the fruit in it cuts any harsh boozy flavor way down making it very drinkable for someone new to the craft beer game. If you are mentioning Lavery, that must mean you are in Erie or somewhere in the NWPA corner....if so, check out Blue Canoe in Titusville as they make some great beers. As far as recommendations, start off with the simple craft beers by Ommegang...it will get you into similar flavors and ease you into different styles. The beer is aged on passionfruit I'm pretty sure. I would also try voodoo gran met and white magick of the sun if you enjoy love child. These beers have a distinct Belgian taste.
