Any really good beer places close to Javitz? My previous experience says no, but I'm hoping maybe it's gotten better! Bars and/or shops. Looking for lunch later this week. Thanks and cheers!
It may be about a 10 minute walk, but Rattle n Hum West (on 39th and 8th) has had some really good sours and IPAs lately.
Beer Culture on 45th between 8th and 9th aves is another solid place along side the other places that have been mentioned. The bar is cool, the guys that work there are awesome and you can always get good stuff to go.
Just about every place mentioned so far here is a mile from the Javitz Center, which is a 20 minute walk. Ginger Man is another one 20 minutes away. 70+ taps.
As great as a bar as the Ginger Man is, that's all the way over on the east side of 5th ave. I mean, OP could cab it, I suppose, but that's a bit of a hike.
