Hey BA's, I've had a variety of different hefeweizens, but none that are strikingly similar to Sixpoint's Apollo. I really look forward to it's release, but I am now realizing that it will only be available on draft in certain locations. Any recommendations for some similar beers to try that offer similar flavors like Apollo?
Would suggest this, or any of the other really good Kristalweizen beers.....Apollo is a more a Kristalweizen than Hefeweizen.....it is filtered.....or just look up the beer style here on BA http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/252/760/ Style: Kristalweizen Description: A filtered version of a Hefeweizen, showcasing bright and clear bodies from pale straw to light amber. That's funny cause I thought it was closer to a weizenbock and not a very good one the one I had was very tart and sour
Hi bdtva, The draft distribution on the Apollo should be relatively widespread throughout our network, so there should be some fine opportunities to procure this in a growler at your nearest station.
