Beers similar to Stone RuinTen

    Almost all of the big boys have sales reps in many regions across the country. So, to answer your question, they likely have someone in the Midwest, possibly more. If only one, like it's Chicago. If more than one, the other cities that make the most sense are would include Cleveland, possibly Columbus or Cincy.

    The hop profile in FW double jack gives the same aroma, iyam. I don't think the malt is that same though.

    I think you may have nailed it. Plenty have said Hoptimum already but Double Trouble is the closest I've found to it. Both are the most similar, that I've had, but I also think both are superior.

    I also get an oniony taste (don't know if that's the right descriptive) but it makes me think mostly Maharaja and Devil Dancer.

    Try Avery Maharaja IIPA. Awesome beer, and I would say quite similar to RuinTen. Although you won't see Maharaja again until next January.

    the flavor and boozyness are perfect. but at 8 a bottle if i can find a cheaper beer thats just as good I'm all for it.

    didn't notice any onion taste were the bottles fresh and stored correctly far as you know?

    Then I would would keep the recommendations I made earlier, and add enjoy by and double Jack. Best beers similar to price is double jack and hoptimum.
