Beers that blend ales and lagers?

    How common are these? I know of a few, some are actually blended and some are brewed with both types of yeast (Hebrew Funky Jewbelation and Rejewvinator are two that I was thinking of). What are some others? I was actually thinking of this the other day before I knew of any specific beers and came across those two through research.

    Genesee Cream Ale was originally created by mixing that brewery's 12 Horse Ale and Genesee Beer.

    Any of the hybrids, really, like California common or steam beers.

    Slumbrew does an imperial cream ale called My Better Half that is half cold lagered and half ale fermented. Pretty tasty stuff

    As I understand it, Rogue Dead Guy Ale is actually a maibock recipe using Pacman yeast (an S. cerevisiae strain)...

    whoa what? I thought steam beers were bottom fermented at warmer temps then aged cool. you saying they blend ale and lager together?
