Straight Jacket! Liked Barleywines before Straight Jacket, loved them after.

Tree House - Julius -- I had fallen off from the craft beer train for a while, and I had no idea what it was. One of my wife's friends brought it over for me and said that it was a really good local beer. I popped one open before going out to a movie, and unfortunately had to drink it kind of fast, but my god, was it insane.

Maine Beer Co. - Lunch -- This was also in my lost days of not drinking beer. Grabbed it on tap at a restaurant in Kittery, ME, and it just blew my mind. Lunch still may be my very favorite beer, it's just so ridiculously balanced.

Trillium - PM Dawn -- Just got this a couple of weeks back. Holy crap.

Hate black ipas. I'll drink a stout if I want roastiness. Only decent one I could stomach was Sublimely Self Righteous. Having a Cultrider right now out of recomondation. Amazing.

    Anyway. BCCS

Just did a night in Burlington and the IPAs at Foam ("Fruit that ate itself" in particular) were pretty damn good. Best IPAs we had on the trip and a lot were consumed. On par with the best and a very cool taproom to go along with it.

Just when I thought that barrel aged beers couldn't surprise me anymore along comes Big Bad Baptista...

Really hoping they do it again next year.

Recently I'd have to say the can release of Galaxy Juice from Fieldwork (Berkeley/CA)! Although, I'm sure there are others out there that may compare it was truly an unique and beyond enjoyable experience!

Also, just picked up a fresh six pack (purchased in store the day after canning) of 21st Amendment (San Francisco/CA) Blah Blah Blah IPA. After pretty much giving up on 21st Amendment beers after past disappointments I was pleasently surprised by this one and this release restored my faith!

In the past a few beers that stand out would be...
    sofie paradisi
    HF juicy
    tweak (non ba)
2016 was a great year though
rusty nail, the beer was great, but that mouthfeel...
double barrel baptist, fudgy brownies in a bottle. Fantastic
right now I am drinking melvin * a week after it was canned. Best ipa I have had recently. I first had it last month, and I feel it was better than the slew of beers I had during gabf including todd the axeman, hoponious union, Pernicious, two hearted, and a few others. Only ipa that tops it is juicy bits from weldwerks. Nothing beats that beer.

Jackie O's Cognac BA Dark Apparition at the brewery on Saturday, got the last pour off the keg before it kicked. Simply stunning.

Brotherton is amazing. My store has a dedicated tap for growlers just for them.

my first proper cask ale in the UK. I don't love the beer now as much as other representations of the style I have had , but remember which one it was, wells bombardier.

As crazy as it sounds for a hyped up beer, Pliny The Elder. It shocked me how good it was. Definitely lived up to and exceeded expectations.
