I still drink it multiple times a week, and as good as ever  I remember years ago, people taking a few pints into the back of a bar to hand bottle some for trades (in places that did not sell growlers). I can't imagine those particular bottles being very good, but what ever. Kind of glad that nonsense is over with, just let me have all the Live Oak.

That I am. Every beer I've had from them I have enjoyed. 90 minute is a great ipa, but my favorite beers from them are 120 and palo. Palo is really under rated but I don't know if it was ever a highly sought after beer.

Yup, back when BA was on its Euro kick. Westy 12 #1 rated beer, St Bernardus #5, Rochefort 10 #7, Ayinger Celebrator #13, Weihenstephaner Hefe #27, Live Oak stacking up an insane amount of Wants, the Cantillon craze (although this still exists). Good times!

Haven't seen any Sly Fox handles in NYC for a while. Not sure what happened.

Came her to say this. Hasn't been as hyped since it went to a year round release.

I doubt most folks here are old enough to remember, but there was a time when Fish Tale dominated the trade forums. If you had bottles of Barrel-aged Leviathan Barleywine, Barrel-aged Poseidon Stout, The original Barrel-aged version of 10 Squared, or Old Woody you could trade them for pretty much anything you wanted.

Hell, the last batch of Poseidon is over 10 years old, and it's still pulling in 4+ ratings on a consistent basis.

They've just become way too prevalent in the Pittsburgh area. Please take some off of our hands!

I remember Thomas Hooker Liberator Doppelbock being very highly rated at one point. Good stuff.

Dirtwolf was huge for about 2 months.

I've been on BA for 2 1/2 years and so many beers have dropped or fallen out of the top 250 altogether.... which is fine with me, I'm perfectly happy to buy Breakfast Stout right off the shelf.

It's also why I steer towards trying brews from the Beers of Fame list.

Rolled out about two years ago.
OP mentioned Weyerbacher Sunday Morning Stout, which was released for the first time earlier this year! LOL!
