Beers that taste the same?

    Super interesting since both Stone and Lagunitas (purportedly) use the same dry english ale yeast as their house strain. I would think the main difference being that Lagunitas probably mashes on the very high side and Stone on the low. If I close my eyes and think really hard I can taste a lot of similarities in both. Obviously most Lag beers finish extremely sweet and Stone much drier but the esters produced, IMO, are very similar.

    Helles, dortmunder - very conservative and restrained styles, which look, smell and taste the same.
