I will be in Denver (downtown area) this weekend for a wedding. Any recommendations on beers (from brewery or liquor stores) to bring back to Minnesota? I'm looking for any limited/seasonal IPAs and/or stouts that are released this time of the year. Any recommendations of good stores near the downtown area will also be helpful. Cheers!
Small Batch is a good place too. Look for Casey Brewing and Blending, Station 26 Single-hop IPA series (citra was nice), Renegade in cans. River North bombers. If you have a car than Mile High Wine and Spirits in Belmar is good too.
If you're looking for seasonal IPAs look for fresh hop beers - there are quite a few but at the moment I'm drawing a blank. Another suggestion is that next time you come to Denver, bring some beer that you can't get here for trading. Especially if it's something really special.
You might even be able to land one of those elusive BA Ten Fidys if you bring something reeeeally special
Not in your exact criteria, but grab Copper Kettle Well Bred if its still around. Finally got around to a 2014bottle I picked up and brought home last winter. It's an excellent BA Barleywine.
Dry Dock BA Hazelnut Brown Ale. Fuck, that beer is good. It's fugly, because it's cloudy as hell and has maybe 1.6 volumes of CO2, but the shit is good. And it is hitting me hard right now. Fucking A!
If you like belgian-style beers pick up Whiskey Barrel Aged J. Marie from River North. Or swing by and sample everything.
Anyone know if anyone still has any Casey beers in stock? Stopped by Mr. B's today and they were all out.
