    Hey there South-Atlantic BAs,

I live in MN and going to make a visit to Charlotte. Just wondering if anyone could suggest some good beers that are available around there that aren't available where I live? Or any particularly good beer stores in Charlotte?

Also could bring stuff down for IP trades

    Thanks

If you visit Charlotte, visit NoDa Brewing and pick up some fresh Hop Drop and Roll. It's an awesome West Coast style IPA.

If you dont want to look over, the NoDa suggestion is about right. Also, Birdsong has improved tons. Triple C has been following in NoDas shoes lately with Up All Night Porter (better than CoCo LoCo IMO) and 3C IPA. BA Up All Night was really good too!

Def hit up Olde Mecklenburg for some good beers. All standard solid German styles with a few thrown in. Good stuff.

Before or after you hit up NoDa brewing and birdsong, you should definitely stop in Salud just up the street. Good stuff always on tap and Jason can show you all the NC bottles/cans to get.

Brawley's, salud, and the total wines are good for stores.

Breweries to check out as mentioned above: Olde Mecklenburg, NoDa, and Birdsong.

I know seekabrew isn't always accurate but on the comparison page it looks like there is a lot of stuff here that's not in Minnesota if you want to check that out.

I will never recommend Total Wine to anyone.

Check out Brawley's, Common Market, Good Bottle...can hit all 3 relatively close to each other.
Duckworths for food and beer on tap.

NoDa, Triple C and Birdsong for Breweries (Haven't been to Unknown but the people are good there)

If you are here in the near future, Event Horizon will still be around and is a must get.

I want to be offended, but I dont know enough about the Total Wines in Charlotte. I work at one, and we do the best we can.

I've had a real bad experience twice at the ones here. Not a knock on all of them

I know Duckworths on Park Rd currently has Event Horizon 12' & 13' on tap, and has Lindley Park 13' on tap as well. I have also heard that they will be tapping Cinnamon Roll'd W-n-B & WC Moo Hoo tonight.
